Our Story
So what's a timbrel anyway? It's a worship instrument used in ancient Israel to worship the Lord. What we do is the result of an outpouring of answered prayer and restored health in our lives. It is also an act of worship to share God's gifts and wisdom with others to help them heal.
Many years ago my husband was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I spent hours researching all the books I had on diet and natural health and combed through health food stores hoping to help him naturally. He was prescribed high doses of prednisone and 6MP, an anti-rejection drug, as well as sulfa drugs which were causing side effects such as weight gain, moon face and heart palpitations. He finally reached a plateau and medication was no longer having any positive impact. I knew my limited knowledge would not be sufficient and we needed a comprehensive plan, so I sought a naturopath who honored the Lord and looked in the Shepherd's Guide (like the old fashioned yellow pages phone book) and found one naturopath. When I spoke to her on the phone she explained that she was a Biblical naturopath and never advertises. She felt led to put one ad in the Shepherd's Guide for a month and I was the only one who called from the ad. I knew this was an answer to prayer. The journey led him to restored health and a much better quality of life. A few years later I developed a severe case of gastritis and returned to our naturopath. Again, she helped me understand the root cause, prepared a plan and I too regained my health. So, I became a holistic medicine practitioner so I can help others regain their health.
